INTRODUCTION TO BASIC ELECTRONICS COMPONENTS (BEC100)
BEC 100 exposes participants to:1. The basic electronic components
2. How each component affects the electronic circuit
3. How components interact in circuit
4. How to design simple circuits
5. How to use some electronics metering devices
BEC 100 is a beginner’s course which prepares participants for circuit design courses and gives them the basic understanding and background knowledge to appreciate electronic circuit designs. BEC 100 reintroduces participants to the basic components used for electronic projects. It exposes them to how each component is designed, its characteristics and behavior in simple electronic circuits. It allows participants to explore the properties of these components using our electronics laboratory equipment. Course is concluded with basic electronic circuit design project which every successful participant must submit and pass.
DURATION
BEC 100 is a short program designed to last for about 2 weeks (30 Hrs).
PRE REQUISITE
Any person with knowledge of high school physics can partake in this program. Prior knowledge of electronics will be an advantage.
INTRODUCTION TO ELECTRONICS CIRCUIT DESIGN (ECD 200)
ECD 200 exposes participants to:
- Appreciating and understanding of electronic systems
- Design of Electronic Units and Systems
- Control systems, UPS and Inverter design principles
- Security systems designs
DURATION
ECD 200 is a short program designed to last for about 3 weeks.PRE REQUISITE
Any person with knowledge of high school physics/electronics and its equivalent can partake in this program. Prior understanding of electronic components or certificate in BEC 100 will be an advantage.EMBEDDED SYSTEMS TECHNOLOGY (ESM 300)
If we look around, we will find ourselves to be surrounded by computing systems. Every year millions of computing systems are built destined for desktop computers (Personal Computers, workstations, mainframes and servers) but surprisingly, billions of computing systems are built every year embedded within larger electronic devices and still goes unnoticed. Any device running on electric power either already has computing system or will soon have computing system embedded in it.WHAT IS EMBEDDED SYSTEM?
An embedded system is a computer system with a dedicated function within a larger mechanical or electrical system, often with real-time computing constraints. It is a programmable chip which you can use for your fantastic electronics projects (even with little knowledge of electronics)
WHAT WE DO?
We train students from scratch on what Embedded systems are, how to design and build electronic projects using embedded systems and how to make fantastic projects from scraps and give them intelligence using these systems. We also train students on how to program these chips to do exactly what they want them. Since our trainings are completely hands-on, students are provided with kits that contain all they will require to learn and carry out their projects throughout this programme.
DURATION
EST 300 is a short program designed to last for about 5 weeks.PRE REQUISITE
Any person with knowledge of high school physics/electronics with a fair knowledge on how to use the computer can partake in this program. Prior understanding of electronic circuit design or certificate in ECD 200 will be an advantage.INTRODUCTION TO MICRO CONTROLLERS(MCU 400)
MCU 400 exposes participants to:- What MCUs are
- How to program MCUs
- How to give your Robots (or similar projects) intelligence
- Access control using RFID card reader
- How to control devices and appliances using your mobile phone
DURATION
- MCU 400 is a short program designed to last for 3 weeks.
PRE REQUISITE
- Any person with basic knowledge of computer science can partake in this program. It is advisable you obtain a certificate in either BEC 100 or ECD 200 in Chai Wet Al Technologies or you have equivalent knowledge of basic electronics. Prior knowledge of computer programming (especially C) will be an advantage.
INTRODUCTION TO ROBOTICS
Do you dream of building things that does things on their own? this course is for you then. What makes a robot a robot? it is not just the intelligence or sense of reasoning it has, it is the ability it has to process all the signals it receives from the surrounding and act according to how you designed it to act.
Chai Wet Al Technologies will expose you to how to design your robot and give it sense of reasoning.
